Ep 168: Choose Your Feeling

Do you realize that if you have been doing this challenge from the very beginning, you have gone without your phone during the first hour of every morning for over a month now?!!!

Compared to Day 1, how would you say you’re doing?

Are you beginning to feel different?

What you’ve noticed so far?

We can’t expect huge shifts in just 4-5 days of a new habit, but I’d like to know what you’re experiencing after a month!  Send me an email, marla@hunkeedori.com.  I really want to know how you’re doing and what changes you’ve felt.

How are you feeling?  Are you committed to making this your new normal?

I know I am.  I want my wake-up time to be in my control.  I want to do the things that I choose.

If you can choose to start your day off right, how do you want to extend this into other areas of your life?

How’s your energy level?

I think waking up properly and setting yourself up for success can’t help but increase your energy levels.

I wanted to talk about energy today and how you can replenish that energy with 7 basic practices.

Did you know that personal energy is a renewable resource?    But YOU have to take charge of that.

I think this will help you in creating your routine.  Just become aware of the things that every human needs to renew their energy and work these into your daily routine.

1.Sleep

2. Eat

3. Move

4. Connect

5. Play

6. Reflect

7. Unplug

The new habit we’re creating will influence almost all of these.

Take some time today and think about how you can incorporate these every day.

How do you want to FEEL in your day to day?

You get to choose the things you DO to help you feel that way. 

Match your activities to how you want to feel.

Start by coming up with 3 words to describe how you want to feel about your life.

Here are mine:

Abundant.  Energetic.  Grateful.

It takes Intentional awareness of how you want to feel to actually begin to feel the way you want.

Wishing it will happen won’t do it.

Spend some time in your journal and decide how you can incorporate your 3 words into the 7 ways to renew your energy.  Here are those again:

1.Sleep

2. Eat

3. Move

4. Connect

5. Play

6. Reflect

7. Unplug

Pretty cool that #7: unplug is one of those ways.  We’re already working on that.  Now take your 3 words and decide how you’ll use them to help you do it.

Pay attention to those you spend the most time with too.

Choose who you surround yourself with as much as possible.

Choose people who line up with how you want to feel.

As this challenge comes to an end here on the podcast, don’t let go of the commitments you’ve made to yourself.  It gets easier to let it go when you’re not constantly reminded about your decision to change.

How can you remind yourself to keep at it?

I’d suggest keeping the routines that you’ve set up in the past month.

Where are you putting your phone before you go to bed at night?

How are you setting yourself up for success?

Keep doing those things.
