Today’s episode feels like a milestone for me.
Did you happen to notice that it’s Episode 50?
While those who have hundreds of episodes may not think of 50 as that big of a deal, I am coming from a different perspective, one I hope I’m teaching you here on this podcast.
If I was to compare myself to other podcasters who have bigger audiences and actually make money podcasting, I would feel bad about myself today.
But I chose not to do that.
I am comparing myself to ME, not “THEM”.
I have created 50 episodes.
I have recorded 50 episodes.
I have shared 50 episodes.
That’s 50 more than I started with.
That’s 50 weeks of publishing an episode even when it felt uncomfortable.
That’s 50 reasons to celebrate.
Because I have chosen NOT to compare myself to others, I feel pretty good today and I’m excited to share another episode with you.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for silently supporting me.
I’d love it if you took one step forward and clicked the 5-star review and an even bigger step forward and write me a review. If you’d do that today to commemorate this 50th episode, I’d be so grateful. I’d love to increase the number of people who listen to this podcast. That happens mainly by you doing those two things. When the controllers of the podcast world see that people like my show, they’ll push it out to more people.
That’s important to me because it’s my goal to help more people feel in control of their circumstances and make choices to change how they feel about their lives.
If more people hear my little show, I have a greater chance of reaching them.
So, thank you for taking those few steps today in support of those goals.
As I’ve shared with you the last two weeks, the month of June is dedicated to one of the pillars of Connection that I teach. This month’s focus is on the pillar of TIME.
Each podcast in June, I’ll be talking about a way that we can reconnect to our time. We will cover ways to pay attention to TIME in a way that honors who we truly ARE and not who we’re trying to BE for anyone else.
I hope you’ve been enjoying this topic.
It’s the basis for everything that I teach.
If you feel like your time is out of your control, nothing seems possible.
We all feel overburdened when we feel out of control of our time.
Today I have a simple quote I wanted to share with you.
In my experience, it’s the simple things that can make the biggest changes in our lives.
A few months ago, I heard this quote by Dieter Uchtdorf.
He said,
“Do you want to change the shape of your life?
Change the shape of your day.
Do you want to change your day?
Change this hour.
Change what you think, feel, and do at this very moment.”
See, simple.
Why do we make change seem so difficult?
One moment at a time is all it takes.
If you don’t like how you’re feeling right now,
STOP.
What are you doing?
What’s one thing you can do right now that is different than what you’re doing.
I’ve done this so many times!
If I’m being truthful, which you know I am here, I’ve missed the opportunity more times than I’ve caught it, but I’m trying. Becoming more aware all the time and keep trying.
But, when I’ve caught myself feeling yucky, and stopped and looked at what I was doing, all it took was a small shift to make myself feel better.
-was I thinking a negative thought?
-was I scrolling too long on things that I didn’t really care about?
-was I comparing myself to someone else?
-was I eating things that my body doesn’t like?
-had I been sitting too long?
-have I forgotten to put myself first and chosen what I’m doing according to what I’ve decided is a priority to me?
None of those things are big things.
Change one thing that you are doing at the moment you recognize you’re not feeling your best.
Those small things add up to hours.
Those hours equal days.
Our days make up our years.
And our years make up our lives.
All begin with small changes in the moment.
Love this so much!
I have two things happening right now that I’d love to share with you and help you begin making these small changes.
The first one is happening TODAY.
If you’re listening in real time, my June Workshop went LIVE today.
You can join today or really anytime in the next few weeks and I will still send you the workshop.
It’s called the “Connect To Your Time” workshop.
If you struggle with knowing what’s the most important thing to be doing…
It’s TIME you begin identifying what YOUR priorities are.
I’ve got 3 easy tips to help you do that.
This workshop will walk you through 3 Easy tip that I’ve outlined in a beautiful new workbook I made just for this workshop.
You can register in the link I’m sharing in the description of this podcast as well as in the show notes.
It’s only $25 and I will send you an email with the link to the video so you can watch and work through the workbook at your own pace and on your own TIME. I know that not all of us can get together as often as we’d like but I still don’t want you to miss out.
I’m also starting a challenge in just a few days where we are going to tackle the habit of letting others tell us what’s most important. Usually that’s through opening emails or social media first thing in the morning.
I have created 5-day’s worth of information and encouragement where we are going to help each other put ourselves first and break this really bad habit that takes away our ability to pay attention to what we decide is more important.
You can do this. I can definitely be better at this. WE can do this together!
Is there a better way to start off the summer than changing a really bad habit that is going to help us to have a better life? I say NO! We are going to beat this once and for all!!! Who’s with me?
The Summer Jumpstart Challenge for 2022 is called “One Hour for Me!”
It’s a 5-day challenge where we will meet online every day for 5 days and learn the WHY, the WHAT and the HOW of giving yourself the first hour of your day.
It’s free, it begins on June 20th, 2022 and you can register by going to the show notes, www.hunkeedori.com/oneforme or just going to hunkeedori.com
I will send you a link where you can join us LIVE every day in the “One Hour for Me!” Facebook Group at 10am MT. If you can’t make it live, you can watch it later since you’ll have access to the group. It would be more fun and make a bigger impact on you if you can join us LIVE because you’ll be able to ask questions and we can have an actual discussion together for a while. I strongly suggest you try to make it live if at all possible. But, I hope you’ll register any way that you can be a part of it.
I’m really excited for this challenge and I hope you see the benefits as well. I’ll be giving you not only reasons to stop looking at your phone as soon as you wake up (some of those reasons blew my mind when I learned about them!) but I’ll also be helping you come up with what you can do instead. That’s a big deal because you can’t change a habit unless you replace it with something else and I’ve got a lot of great things that you are going to look forward to MORE than starting your day by looking at what your high school friend did last week.
Don’t forget to register for the challenge. I’ll leave the link in the show notes which makes it super easy to click but if you’d rather, just go to www.hunkeedori.com/oneforme
I’m going to give you a special little heads up about this today too.
I’m offering a pretty great deal for one of my future programs when you take part in this challenge, so, if you’d like to take advantage of that, I hope you’ll register.
Thanks for joining me here today.
I see you. I understand how hard you’re trying, and I’d like to help however I can.
Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you back here next week.
