Every Day Doesn’t Have to Be Planned

I’m a Rebel!!

I’ll wait while my friends stop laughing.

Sometimes I don’t plan out my week.

<…crickets…>

I know!  To admit that here,  I’m asking to be horsewhipped!

If I’m admitting things, I might as well keep going…

Sometimes I don’t decorate my planner pages.

Sometimes I don’t write down what I have “to-do”.

I can hear you now “Wait… WHAT?  Don’t you sell planners?”

If we’re going to get technical, I don’t sell planners, I sell covers that hold planners, but I digress.

I can also hear you saying, “Don’t you preach planning out your priorities??? “

” Living life according to your priorities???”

Hey! Sometimes I just need a break!  I can’t be productive all the time.

And neither can you!

It’s ok to sit back sometimes and let things fall together as they may.

I actually think some of this “relaxed time” needs to be scheduled into our busy days.

What I mean by that is blocking off some time to do….

Whatever.

Even nothing.

Blasphemy, I know.

But think about it.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some breathing room in your week?

That way, when things don’t go according to your plans, which happens a lot, you’ve already given yourself the time to let it not stress you out.

So, I’m here today to give you permission to not plan out every second, of every day, every week.

Life shows up in different ways when we let it JUST… BE.

I’m not jumping off the planning band wagon.  I’m just putting it out there that maybe, just maybe, the perfect plan for you might just be NOT to plan for a few days.

Then, when you’re feeling ready, get back in there.  Figure out what’s most important to you and fill your days with productive ways to reach those goals.

Work like a boss!

Give it your all!

Work hard and love hard and feel good as you go about it.

Just know, everyone needs a break sometimes, and since you’re a priority,  you get to decide
when those breaks happen.

I’ll be here supporting you in whatever type of day you’re in.

Frixion Pens

The following is not a paid promotion.  Just a tip from me to you of how to live a less stressful, planned life.

I’ve loved Frixion pens for just this very thing.  They erase, like, REALLY ERASE!

So, in the midst of all the color coding and block planning I do, I can erase and move things around.

It’s been one of the greatest finds of mine in the last 6 years.

Praise the name of the girl (sorry, I can’t remember her name) that told me about Frixion pens at a planner meet up I went to.

Now, I don’t only have black Frixion pens, I have all their colored pens, markers and highlighters.

Cue the angels singing as the clouds open up and sun brightly beams upon us all!!!

Put “Planner” and “Perfectionistic” personalities together and you’ve got me!

Having these erasable pens have saved my ever-present fear of writing something down that might have to change.

I can’t believe I just admitted that.

I promise, I’m working on the perfectionism part.

It doesn’t serve me or anyone else for that matter in a positive way.

I’m working on it.  Everyday getting a smidge better.

I’ll give you one tip with those pens.  There is a downside and it’s only happened to me once.  BUT…

If they get hot, they totally erase.  Like, gone.

It’s fricon that makes them erasable so I guess heat is what fricon makes, so, there you go.

Just don’t leave your planner in a hot car or run your hand across it over and over or use a blow dryer on it.  I know, no one’s doing that, just thought it would be a funny addition of what not to do.

Thanks for joining me today.

Quick tip.  Easy to implement.  That’s what I think.
