Make moments last longer by turning the into memories. Write your feelings to make them last. Write to make your life memories last longer.
Make moments last longer by turning them into memories. Writing your feelings makes them last.
Seems Like Yesterday

I remember the days when my kids were little.

Oh, I was SO tired.  So overwhelmed.

I thought it was the hardest time of my life.

Yes, it was hard.  There’s no disputing that.

Remember When??

But when you’re in the thick of anything, it’s hard to imagine something being harder than what you’re going through right now.

When I look back, I feel like I’d love to go back to those days when things were slower, I felt like I had more control of what life looked like.

True, I did, but in all honesty, I’d only like to go back for a day or so.

I’d love to remember what my kids were like when they were young and innocent.

Have their personalities changed or just developed?  Did things happen in their lives that altered who they grew up to be?

Looking Back Is Always Easier Than Looking Forward

Wouldn’t it be nice to go back with your current perspective and view the whole situation through a different lense?

I’d love to sit on the floor with them and just soak it all in.

Be happy in the mess around me and enjoy the moments I had to just be with them.

Scrapbooking Is Back Baby

Since I know that’s never going to happen, I’m just going to go back through my journals and scrapbooks and try to remember.

I wish I would have written more about how I felt about them and worried less about embellishing my perfect layout.  I’d love to ready what they were like and how they responded to things and to me.

I did it on a few occasions and I’m really glad I did.

When I re-read those entries, the moments come back to my memory and I feel like I’m there.

Why is that?  Why doesn’t a picture do that on its own?

Document Your Days

Photos bring back some feelings, but the memory isn’t as complete as when I took the time to write about the experience.

That’s why I feel so strongly today about writing down how and what I feel about experiences and people now.

I always think to myself, “I’ll never forget this!” and you know what, (of course you do, because I know that I’m not the only one who does this) I always do.

Moments To Memories

So, that’s why I designed a memory keeping system that I can keep with me all the time.  I put it in with all the important systems I keep in my Travelers Notebook.  It’s just a simple insert that gives me 3 different methods to document what I want to remember.

I’d love to share it with you.

I made it in two different sizes that you can get here:

Large (printed on a Legal sized piece of paper and folded in half). It measures 7×8 ½”

B6: Measures 5×7” when finished.

I’ll be sharing tips and ideas on how to use it in my Instagram and Instagram Stories as well as my Facebook Group. Make sure you’re following me there so we can share ideas.
