I’m a Rebel
Sometimes I don’t plan out my week.
<…crickets…>
I know! To admit that on this platform, I’m asking to be horsewhipped!
Sometimes I don’t decorate my planner pages.
Sometimes I don’t write down what I have “to-do”.
You Preach Planning???
Wait… WHAT? Don’t you sell planners? Don’t you preach planning out your priorities???
Sometimes I just need a break!
I can’t be productive all the time. And neither can you!
It’s ok to sit back sometimes and let things fall together as they may.
Schedule vs. Relax
I actually think some of this “relaxed time” needs to be scheduled in our busy days.
What I mean by that is blocking off some time to do…. Whatever. Even nothing.
Blasphemy, I know.
But think about it.
Give Yourself Some Breathing Room
Wouldn’t it be nice to have some breathing room in your week?
That way, when things don’t go according to your plans, which happens a lot, you’ve already given yourself the time to let it not stress you out.
You Have My Permission
I’m here to give you permission to not plan out every second of every day, every week. Life shows up in different ways when we let it just be.
I’m not jumping off the planning band wagon. I’m just putting it out there that maybe, just maybe, the perfect plan for you might just be NOT to plan for a few days.
Then, when you’re feeling ready, get back in there. Figure out what’s most important to you and fill your days with productive ways to reach those goals.
Work like a boss! Give it your all! Work hard and love hard and feel good as you go about it.
Just know, everyone needs a break sometimes, and since you’re a priority, you get to decide when those breaks happen.
I’ll be here supporting you in whatever type of day you’re in.
PS. This Is Not a Paid Promotion.
Just a tip from me to you.
I’ve loved Frixion pens for just this very thing. They erase, like, REALLY ERASE!
So, in the midst of all the color coding and block planning I do, I can erase and move things around. It’s been one of the greatest finds of mine in the last 4 years.
Praise the name of the girl (sorry, can’t remember her name) that told me about them at a planner meet up.
Now, I not only have black Frixion pens, I have colored pens, markers and highlighters.
Cue the angels singing as the clouds open up and sun brightly beams upon us all!!!
Put “Planner” and “Perfectionistic” personalities together and you’ve got me! This has saved my ever-present fear of writing something down that might have to change.
I can’t believe I just admitted that. I promise, I’m working on the perfectionism part. It doesn’t serve me or anyone else for that matter. I’m working on it OK…GET OFF MY BACK ALREADY.
