Steps to practice feeling more joy:
1: Think of a joyful moment in your life.
2: Let your body settle into that moment. Take a deep breath.
3: Notice how your body responds to being in that joyful moment. If your body doesn’t respond to that memory, choose a different one.
4: When you feel joy in the memory. Hold onto it. Watch the thoughts.
5: When your brain shifts and wants to let go, note how long it lasted. This is your starting point.
6: Practice lengthening the time you feel joy.
7: When you feel the flicker of joy during the day…stay with it. Hold it and start with step 2 again.
8: Repeat.
